John devised an ingenious route round Bartley Green reservoir and
environs, returning, with a coffee stop at the new Asda on Barnes Hill, via
Senneleys Park and Weoley Castle. Many thanks to Nikki, out with us today for
the first time, who tracked the route on her Garmin and has uploaded it here.

Bournville - Northfield - Longbridge
John's route took us on a comprehensive tour of the Valley Parkway and paths
through the green spaces of Bournville and Northfield to Longbridge.
Kevin met us at our stop at the new Sainsburys where he distributed
slices of an excellent sponge cake he had made, which we enjoyed with our
coffee. We came back via West Heath, along paths which seem difficult to
find unless you know they are there, but John says they appear on the
Birmingham cycling and walking map.
Ten riders, weather cold but sunny and calm.
A rough idea of our route appears here, though it's not accurate in every
detail.

Bournville - King's Heath
The route we took to
Kings Heath for coffee at the Baptist church hall,
is here. Eight riders, a calm dry day, towpath on
the Stratford canal muddy in places but passable.

Bournville - Edgbaston
A map showing the route
we followed from Bournville to Edgbaston and back can be
found here.
Parts of the route are
along footways, including a stretch of Bristol Road from the junction with
Eastern Road to Michael Court, which is now joint use.
