Castle Bromwich gardens
Steve led a group of seven on an enjoyable loop round the Cole Valley, with coffee at BTP in
Solihull and lunch at Castle Bromwich gardens.
The route, a repeat of Steve’s ride a year ago, was mostly off-road,
taking in towpaths, parks and paths, and including some good views of planes
coming into land at Birmingham airport.
We were expecting bad weather, so were not surprised to be
caught in heavy rain as we rode through Chelmsley Wood, which was still falling when we arrived
at Castle Bromwich. Fortunately the
afternoon was dry for the ride home.
