Costa Dickens Heath Saturday's ride 12 September

 A ride to Costa at Dickens Heath. A breezy day but thankfully no rain in the morning although it did threaten. Nice to see Bournville Heritage Family  bike ride starting at Rowheath at the same time as us. Had to be careful who followed who as we set off.. Kings Heath Park Saturday 5th September

 A short ride today as many had to get back quite early. A route to the cafe at King's Heath Park taking in a number of parks. Many saw it as a reminder of past Saturday rides led by John B or Steve. The passage through Highbury Park is a highlight of this ride especially as now many of the minor pathways have been renovated. Fifteen riders on a clear and sunny day. Potting Shed

 Today we dodged the showers for a short run to the Potting Shed at Lydiate Ash. Quite breezy at times. Seven riders at a leisurely pace. The route is here

M&S Longbridge

 At last rain! 3 riders planned to go to Waseley but as rain became heavier decided to stop at M&S Longbridge Town for coffee, returning the same way.  The route is here 

Waseley

 6 Riders on a nice sunny morning on the usual route to Waseley. Riders included  Phil, Sandra, Sue. Frank. John T. and Bob. Coffee outside in the warm sun.  The group split on the return with four going via Woodgate Valley and the others the usual way. 

The Mac

16  met up at Rowheath on a bright and sunny morning cooler than late, Richard had bike problem and Frank had to return home. So 14 rode the usual route to the MAC at Cannon Hill going via the canal where we met up again with Richard. The route is here

The Wave Earlswood

Eight riders today on a sunny and less humid day to the Wave at Earlswood. Able to sit in the gardens for coffee with another cycling group. Nice to see Phil and San back in the group and no punctures.  The route is here

Bartley Green Sailing Club

13 riders on another hot day went via the university and Bournbrook walkway to Bartley Green Reservoir.to the sailing club cafe.  Richard A unfortunately found he had a puncture and the group split to return home. The route is here

 8 Riders out on the usual route to Alvechurch , Pleasant ride there but hot on the return. the route is here

17 Riders met up at Rowheath on a hot and sunny morning to follow a shady route to Starbucks. the route is here

Two Mugs Cafe Shirley

 Today's ride was to the Two Mugs Cafe in Shirley. A warm but breezy day. Five riders in total. Many of the group on holiday this week or have grand parenting duties .Nice to bump into Phil on our outward journey and hope to see her soon on a Saturday. The route is here

two ride today: The shorter went to Lizzies farm Lydiate Ash the longer ride over canals and Parks to Rowley Regis.

 Today we decided to make a return to Lizzie's Farm even though we had been there recently. Seven turned up for this shorter ride. A very pleasant day with cooling breeze. A familiar route. The Farm was very busy.  The route is here

Richard O led a ride to Bumble Hole, but possibly because Netherton Tunnel was mentioned only 2 riders completed the ride along quiet canals and through parks and over Rowley Regis hills. the route is here

The Stables Illshaw Heath

 Seven riders out on a very warm and sticky Wednesday. Even the slight breeze was warm. Today we went to The Stables at Illshaw Heath. Pleasant, if rather hot, to take our coffee and cake outside to watch the Horse riding lessons in progress. The route is here

Waseley Country Park

 16 out on a very hot and sunny ride up the Rea Valley to Waseley returning via Bartley Green Reservoir. The ride is here

 Today's ride was to Beckett's Farm. A cooler day with a pleasant breeze.

Saturday 18 July Earlswood Garden Centre

 Our Saturday ride was the shorter way to Earlswood Garden Centre. Nine riders on a warm day. The Centre's bike stands were full today with other bikers. Becoming a very popular destination. Bob had a problem with his chain jamming on the way home but with brute force and a bloody hand he managed to fix it and carry on. The route is here
