Kings Heath

19 riders on a cold and misty morning went to Kings Heath via the canal, The Vale, Calthorpe Park and Cannon Hill Park.  The route is here.

QE Hospital

Cold, snowy morning, but nine intrepid riders went to QE Hospital via Valley Park, Weoley Castle and Harborne, returning along the canal.

Two rides today

(i)  Ten riders out on a sunny but cold day. Went via the canal, QE Hospital and Harborne Walkway to Gas Street Basin.  Returning along the canal.

(ii)  First longer ride of the year.  Seven riders, led by John T, to Arrow Valley.  A cold start, bright and sunny later.

Asda, Barnes Hill

Fifteen riders on a largely off road route to Asda, Barnes Hill.  Cold clear day.

Cannon Hill Park

Thirteen riders on a bitterly cold ride to Cannon Hill park.  Milder on the return trip, but still cold, cloudy and dull.

Instead of a ride, a meeting at Rowheath to discuss plans for rides in 2017 and to answer questions on bike maintenance, including a puncture repair demonstration from John P.

There was support for:

(i)  a monthly longer ride (in addition to the regular ride) on the first Saturday of the month, starting on 4th February

(ii)  a longer ride on the third Sunday of each month

(iii)  a car assisted ride.  Possible start points mentioned were Derbyshire and Rutland.

(iv)  a mid-week ride from Rowheath.  John B will investigate.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Eighteen riders on a mild damp day to the QE for coffee, via a route which took in Manor Farm and Victoria Parks.
